The Julington-Durbin Preserve is beautiful set of wide, flat trails through scenic pine forests. The 6-mile outer loop is a combination of the White Blaze Loop and the Yellow Loop.
The trails are mostly hard packed grass and gravel sections with a few areas of soft sand. The trails are lined with pine trees but there are both shaded and sunny areas on the course.
The 5k will run one 3.1 mile out and back section of the course.
The 18 mile will be 3 laps of the 6 mile course.
The 18 mile relay will be a team of 3, each running one 6 mile loop.
The main aid station will be located at the race start and will have water, Gatorade, chips, candy, coke and PB&Js. There will also be an area for bag drops for those running the 18 - miler so runners can grab anything else they may want/need at the beginning of each 6 mile loop.
There will also be two other aid stations, with ONLY water:
One will be located at the turnaround for the 5k and one will be at the 3 mile mark of the 6 mile loop. This race is a CUP FREE RACE so bring your own water bottle to be refilled.
There is parking right near the start and Porta Potty access.
5k starts at 8:15 a.m.
18 miler and 18 mile relay start at 8:30 a.m.
